Point Spread

In the above example, the Baltimore Ravens are 6 point favorites (-6). The Ravens must win the game by 7 or more points for a bet on Baltimore -6 to win. The Cincinnati Bengals are 6 point underdogs (+6). The Bengals must either win the game outright or lose by 5 or fewer points for bets on Cincinnati +6 to win. If the Ravens win by exactly 6 points then the point spread bets would “push” and be refunded.
Money Line
A money line bet is simply a bet on which team will win the game. The odds associated with each team determines your risk vs reward for the bet.
In the above example the Baltimore Ravens are -260 favorites. This means you must risk $260 to win $100 betting on the Ravens. The Cincinnati Bengals are +220 underdogs. This means you would win $220 for every $100 risked betting on the Bengals to pull off the upset.
Total
A total bet is a wager on the amount of points to be scored in the game by both teams. The oddsmaker will set a total and you can bet on whether the number of points scored will be over or under that amount.
In the above example the total is set at 53 points. Over bets would win if 54 or more points are scored and under bets would win if 52 or fewer points are scored.
